RECORD SIGNING: Lazio have already made move for Celtic star

Although the majority of the rumours around Celtic relate to possible additions,

the team will also be trying to hold onto its finest players beyond this season.

That will be easier said than done, of course, especially in light of the fact that

several players on Brendan Rodgers’ squad aren’t getting much playing time.

For a considerable amount of time, Rocco Vata has been regarded as one of the greatest players to emerge from the Celtic academy.

He has also performed exceptionally well for their B Team.

However, the senior team has not benefited from that. This season, Vata has onl

been used as a substitute a few times, however he did manage to score against Buckie Thistle.

Vata’s deal expires in the summer. Given the dearth of opportunities the young

player has had at Parkhead, it would be understandable if he decided to go,

even if it is thought that Celtic wants to give him a long-term agreement.

However, it appears that clubs all over Europe are already vying for his signature.

Lazio have already made move for Celtic player

According to Sport Witness and Citta Celeste, Lazio is eager to sign Vata from Celtic. The Italian club “moved” for him, among others, and is currently awaiting a response. Since the responses are only anticipated between the end of April and the

beginning of May, there’s no rush.

Naturally, Lazio isn’t the only Italian team rumoured to be interested in Vata.

Though his future plans are yet unknown, Italy seems to be his most likely destination.

In recent years, many Scottish footballers have moved to Italy and excelled in Serie A. Might the next name on that list be Vata?
