News Update:Celtic in competition with West Ham to sign Panathinaikos striker
According to sources who spoke to Football Insider, Celtic are unlikely to be able to compete with teams like West
Ham for Panathinaikos forward Fotis Ioannidis.
On Monday, April 15, Football Insider reported that West Ham had made an early contact regarding a summer move
for the 24-year-old.
Although the Hoops are interested in the Greece international as well, they probably won’t be able to afford his
services this summer.
Football Insider has learned from a reliable source that Celtic is unable to compete with Premier League teams like
West Ham, who are seeking to pay approximately £17 million for a player.
Ioannidis, who has been playing exceptionally well for the Greek team Panathinaikos this season, will also be able to accept a pay increase from the Irons.

In 40 games in all competitions in the 2023–24 season, he has recorded 21 goals and eight assists, including five in six in the Europa League.
