Leeds United manager targeted by Besiktas, set to move as contract winds down – report from Turkish outlet Fanatik.

According to a report from Turkish publication Fanatik, Daniel Farke, the manager of Leeds united, is one of the contenders for the Besiktas position.

After hiring German manager Daniel Farke in the summer of last year, Leeds united is currently sitting 3rd in the Championship table. In his first season in South Wales, Daniel  has kept the whites out of the relegation zone.

However, for a little while now, there have been doubts about his future with the team.

When Daniel Farke first arrived to the Leeds united Stadium, he only signed a four-year contract. It is unclear what would happen to him after that and no new contract has been negotiated. The management is now attracting attention from other sources.

Daniel Farke is reportedly one of the possibilities for the recently open Besiktas position, according to reports in his home country of Turkey. According to Fanatik, there are several names in consideration; thus, it will take time to see if the connections with the whites owner materialize.

Further managerial uncertainty

The uncertainty surrounding their manager’s future is nothing new to Leeds united supporters.

Arriving as yet another temporary manager, Daniel Farke has drawn criticism during his time in charge despite helping the team advance in the standings, and at the end of the current campaign, he may be let go.

The club’s hierarchy may have the final say, but Daniel may decide to take matters into his own hands and walk on. Besiktas’s strong interest would provide a way out of the capital of Wales and back to a league he is very familiar with.

It seems that answers regarding Daniel Farke‘s Leeds united future won’t become apparent until the Championship season is over. Fans will therefore be waiting to see what choice is made regarding his destiny up until that point.
