According to Alan Nixon, Ipswich Town is considering a transfer for Taylor Harwood-Bellis,

a defender for Manchester City.

In an attempt to win promotion from the Championship, Ipswich Town is eager to entice the Southampton loan

player to Portman Road this summer.

The 22-year-old Harwood-Bellis has made 38 appearances for the Saints in all competitions this season,

tallying two goals.

Reporter Nixon claims on his Patreon page that the Tractor Boys hope to sign him during the upcoming transfer window.

If they could sign defender Harrison-Bellis from Manchester City, Ipswich Town would be thrilled to have him.

The man, who is from Stockport, would fit in well with Kieran McKenna‘s style of play and has a promising future in sports.

He progressed through the Etihad Stadium academy system and has made eight appearances for his parent club’s first squad thus far in his career.

Blackburn Rovers, Anderlecht, Stoke City, and Burnley were his previous stops away from City until he made his

temporary move to Southampton in September.

Under Vincent Kompany’s leadership, Harwood-Bellis played for the Clarets during their most recent campaign and

contributed to their second-tier title victory.

Before returning to Pep Guardiola‘s team in the summer, he hopes to advance once more with Southampton this season.

It wouldn’t be shocking if he left City permanently at some time soon as his long-term future there is uncertain.

Ipswich drew 1-1 at home against Middlesbrough this past weekend; they are currently concentrating on improving.

The next game for McKenna‘s team is an away trip to Hull City on April 27. After that, they play Coventry City and

Huddersfield Town to close off the season.
