Newcastle ready to battle PL rival to sign six-time league winner for free – report

According to the Sunday People (April 14, page 68), the Magpies will compete with Manchester United to capture Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot.

According to the report, the Magpies want to reinforce their center midfield department and have been made aware of Rabiot’s availability.

The midfielder was a member of the French team that lost to Argentina in the 2022 World Cup final in Qatar.

Newcastle must be strategic in the transfer window,

and they may need to offload some of their star players to keep within the limits of PSR rules.

Rabiot, who has six league titles in his career (five with PSG and one with Juventus), is looking to leave after nearly five years in Italy.

Adrien Rabiot is quite experienced.

Rabiot is an extremely experienced midfielder. He has made over 200 games for the Serie A giants and over 450 matches in total.

Newcastle could be tempted to sign him for free, but they may have to pay a high wage price.

While Tonali will return to action next season, Eddie Howe has the budget to bring in another experienced player,

and Rabiot fits the bill. He is a superb left-footed defensive midfielder with an incredible ability to score critical goals.

In 2022/23, he scored 11 goals in all competitions for Juventus and has four this season.

The Magpies are also expressing a strong interest in Nottingham Forest midfielder Morgan Gibbs-White, who could fetch over £50 million.
