Rangers demand ‘decisive action’ against Dundee following their postponement.
Rangers accuse Dundee of “negligence and unprofessionalism”; post-split fixtures could
be delayed; Dens Park team may face
disciplinary punishment after a fifth home call-off this season; the match will now take place
live on Sky Sports on April 17.
After a second surface inspection, Dundee’s rescheduled Scottish Premiership match against
Rangers at home has been canceled.
Referee Don Robertson decided it was safe to play at Dens Park at about 11 a.m., but then it
started to rain heavily, so he had to
postpone it again with four hours to go before kickoff.
Since Tuesday, covers have been erected over the problematic regions, and throughout the past
few days, ground crew has been
working on the field.
Dundee has canceled five games at Scot Foam Stadium, and the league’s governing body, the SPFL,
may take legal action against the
team. The SPFL is presently looking into the grounds’ problems.The match between Motherwell and
Dundee at home on Saturday
