Celtic a ‘surprise suitor’ for signing – Whites may be being used for renewal purposes

Over the weekend, Adam Idah scored another goal in a match against St. Mirren.

At Celtic Park and Ibrox, the Irishman has scored after coming off the bench.

Since joining at the end of January, the Norwich loanee has appeared in ten SPFL games,

tallying seven goals and dishing out two assists.Celtic and Idah’s attention will be on the title,

which is still very much up for grabs with five games remaining.

On social media, a lot of people have been pressuring Celtic to consider signing the large frontman to a long-term contract.

CeltsAreHere knows that if Celtic were to hunt for a permanent agreement in the summer,

they would be looking at a price tag NORTH of £6 million. Prices of £3 million and £4 million have been thrown around.

Based on available evidence, Norwich may have recognized Adam’s potential and that’s why they declined a pre-arranged buyout offer from Celtic in January. Time was not on Celtic’s side, even if they wanted one.

Norwich knows they have the ball in their hands because Adam has performed well for the Green and White thus far.

If Celtic wishes to talk, they will need to pay a respectable amount by Scottish football standards to acquire the big man.

Regarding Adam joining on a long-term contract, Brendan Rodgers has been evasive,

saying in a recent news conference that they’ll evaluate it at the conclusion of the year.

The agreement can only be considered a success if he enters, contributes to winning the title,

and then departs. The SPFL title will be decided over the course of the next five games, and we hope Adam can win it.
