After all, they were the first team in the top division’s history to receive two deductions in a single season when they were given the worst points deduction in November, which was later reduced on appeal.

Richard Masters has now extended his hand to the rest of the globe, notwithstanding the extraordinarily harsh and disorganized way the Toffees have been handled.

Many people believe that the Everton witch hunt was motivated solely by a desire to hinder the work of an independent Premier League regulator. The fact that he made a piece the day following attempting to defend his position supports this theory.

Andy Burnham fumes at Richard Masters.

Although Andy Burnham has never been a fan of Masters, the latest verdict will only make matters worse.

After all, a number of prominent personalities in the media, including lawmakers and former athletes, have expressed their dissatisfaction.

And in defending Everton, they all appear to arrive at the same conclusion.

After removing two more points on Monday after first receiving a six-point penalty, the Premier League has now taken eight points from Sean Dyche’s club for what appear to be minor violations.

The ire was only heightened after Masters penned that essay, prompting the Greater Manchester Mayor to take action once more.

The decision’s lack of thinking was so obvious that it exposed their true objectives for generating this PSR drama.

Masters has clearly used Nottingham Forest and the Toffees as scapegoats to further his own goal.

This new display of hubris in a Times piece is the final straw, and one hopes that the appointment of an impartial government regulator will result in him being publically admonished for failing to prevent this outcome and for treating the two teams listed above unfairly.
