View:Todd Boehly and Chelsea will be licking their lips at Ipswich Town developments

Kieran McKenna has shown to be an excellent hire at Portman Road,

as he has assembled a group capable of achieving promotion to Premier League.

After last season’s promotion from League One, expectations for this season were mixed,

although few anticipated the Tractor Boys to compete with Leeds United and Leicester City for automatic promotion.

Ipswich are now second in the table, just one point ahead of Leeds, with four games remaining.

With the campaign coming to an end, McKenna’s team needs be on top of their game to finish in the top two.

They still have games against Middlesbrough (H), Hull City (A), Coventry City (A),

and Huddersfield Town (H), but they will be confident and believe in themselves.

Ipswich are the league’s top scorers for a reason: they have multiple players who can create chances and score goals.

One of these players is 20-year-old Omari Hutchinson, who has improved dramatically after signing on loan in the summer.

The Chelsea loanee arrived to Portman Road in the summer and has contributed significantly to the club’s success thus far.

He has only made 16 league starts due to the quality of offensive alternatives, but when he does,

he is entertaining and poses a serious threat to defenses.

Seven goals and six assists in the Championship sum up his season at Ipswich Town.

Hutchinson has eight goal contributions in his previous 13 appearances and appears to be playing with a lot of confidence.

The recent injury to right-winger Wes Burns would have been far more devastating

if Hutchinson had not been waiting in the wings to replace him in the starting lineup.

He is thoroughly enjoying his time at Portman Road, and in a recent interview,

he was asked about the potential of returning on loan next season.

“Listen, I can’t say where I’m going to play. We’ll find out in the summer what the best step is for me.

I absolutely enjoy it here. “I’m glad I arrived.”

“It will be one of my choices if everyone agrees. I couldn’t give you the correct answer right now;

you’ll have to wait and see in the summer.”

Chelsea will be happy.

As with any loan move, the parent club hopes that their player will get enough game time and develop positively,

and Hutchinson has done just that with Ipswich Town.

Chelsea, particularly Todd Boehly, will be overjoyed to see their child thrive in the Championship,

and they must be considering including him at Stamford Bridge next season.

Chelsea’s struggles this season have been well known,

with the club currently sitting ninth in the table and looking unlikely to play European football next season.

Without the signing of Cole Palmer, they could have finished lower in the table, which will raise concerns for the Blues.

Next season, the club must focus on establishing a squad that is capable of working as a team and competing with the best of the best.

Hutchinson’s outstanding performances in the Championship suggest he might be a great asset for Chelsea next season if used right.

He may not start many games, but his versatility and potential make him an excellent attacking option.

If Mauricio Pochettino decides not to include Hutchinson next season,

the club would certainly collect a sizable transfer price based on his performances this season,

thus Todd Boehly will be licking his lips in either case.
