Celtic had a mixed summer transfer window until now. On the one side,

they’ve brought in interesting players such as Odin Thiago Holm and Marco Tilio.

On the other hand, they witnessed Jota depart the club to join Al-Ittihad.

Following the departure of the Portuguese winger,

the unexpected announcement that Kyogo would be extending his contract came as a huge relief.

Of course, several other Celtic players have been connected with departures from the club.

And it should come as no surprise given the Hoops’ recent success,

having won five out of six domestic competitions and reaching the Champions League group stage the previous season.

Reo Hatate is one player who has been heavily linked with a departure from Celtic in recent weeks and months.

Brighton & Hove Albion and Tottenham Hotspur have been mooted as potential destinations.

There have also been reports of a possible move to Al-Ittihad.

However, based on Hatate’s recent comments, this may not be the case.

Hatate delivers a clear message amid Celtic leave speculation.

According to the Daily Record, when asked where he wants to play by DAZN, Hatate responded:

“”At the highest level, such as the Premier League. It’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, so if I can play, I’d like to accept the challenge.

But right now, my primary focus is to accomplish what I need to do for the team I’m on, so I’d like to give it my all.””

It remains to be seen how Hatate does this summer.

He is undoubtedly one of Celtic’s most essential players, especially after Jota’s departure.

Hatate transferred from Kawasaki Frontale in the summer of 2021 and has since become a starter.

He has been one of the greatest players in the Scottish Premiership during that period of time and has not looked out of place in the Champions League as well.
