The growth of Omari Hutchinson at Ipswich Town will excite Chelsea.

At Portman Road, Kieran McKenna has shown to be an excellent choice, as he has assembled a team deserving of

promotion to the Premier League.

Expectations were mixed heading into this season following the Tractor Boys’ elevation from League One last season,

but few would have predicted them to be competing with Leeds United and Leicester City for the automatic

promotion spots.

With four games left, Ipswich is now one point ahead of Leeds in the table. McKenna‘s team needs to be at the top of

their game to finish in the top two as the campaign is coming to an end.

They still have games against Hull City (A), Coventry City (A), Middlesbrough (H), and Huddersfield Town (H),

but they will be entering these contests with a lot of faith and confidence.

With multiple players who can generate opportunities and strike the back of the net,

Ipswich is the league’s best scoring team for a reason. Omari Hutchinson,

a 20-year-old who signed a loan in the summer, is one of those guys who has advanced significantly.

Omari Hutchinson’s Ipswich tenure

Since coming to Portman Road in the summer, the Chelsea loanee has been a major contributor to their success thus

far.

Due to the abundance of offensive alternatives, he has only made 16 league starts, but when he does play,

he is entertaining and poses a serious threat to opposing defenses.

All that has to be said about his season with Ipswich Town thus far is that he has seven goals and six assists in the

Championship.

Hutchinson looks to be playing with a lot of confidence as he has eight goal contributions in his last 13 appearances.

This season, his versatility has been crucial for the Tractor Boys as he has played both on and behind the striker,

allowing him to fill in wherever needed. The injury that right-winger Wes Burns suffered recently would have been

even more devastating had Hutchinson not been standing by to take his position in the starting lineup.

He is undoubtedly enjoying his stay at Portman Road, and recently, he was asked if he would consider going back on

loan the next season.

“Listen, I’m not able to let you know where I’m playing.

We’ll find out in the summer what’s the best course of action and what my own personal preference is.

I’m in love right here. I’m happy I went.

If everyone is on board, then it’s going to be one of my possibilities.

You’ll have to wait and see in the summer as I was unable to provide you with the correct response at this time.

The parent team always hopes that, as with every loan move, their player will get enough playing time and grow,

and Hutchinson has done just that with Ipswich Town.

Chelsea will be overjoyed to see their young player succeeding in the Championship,

and Todd Boehly in particular will undoubtedly be considering bringing him to Stamford Bridge for the upcoming

campaign.

Chelsea’s struggles this season are widely known; they are now ranked ninth in the table and don’t seem likely to be

playing in Europe next year.

The Blues should be concerned because they could be further down the table if Cole Palmer hadn’t been signed.

The team’s goal for the upcoming season is to assemble a team that can play as a unit and take on the best in the

league.

After his strong performances in the Championship, Hutchinson might be a great asset for Chelsea the next season if

he is used well. Despite the fact that he might not start many games, his tremendous adaptability and potential make

him an excellent attacking option.

Todd Boehly will be licking his lips either way if Mauricio Pochettino decides he does not want to have Hutchinson in

the squad for the upcoming campaign. Based on his performances thus far, the club is expected to get a healthy

transfer fee.
