And with Patterson eyeing lucrative contracts from EPL clubs, the goal line will be perfectly

safe in de Gea’s hands

Sunderland had yet another reality check on Tuesday,

following a goaless draw at Leeds. Sunderland is currently 13th in the Championship rankings,

13 points outside of the top six and a play-off spot.

It is safe to assume at this stage that the Black Cats will not be promoted

this season and that could have big consequences for the club this summer.

Sunderland agrees contract term with David de-Gea As Anthony Patterson’s replacement

Given the interest in some of their key players, former England international

midfielder and pundit Carlton Palmer thinks
Sunderland may be in for a difficult season ahead of them,

but he also thinks de-Gea would be a good addition.
Palmer told FLW that Sunderland will have a difficult summerin the transfer market because

they won’t be promoted this year.Anthony Patterson, who has been excellent for Sunderland,

is one of the players who will be looking for a move. Many of their stars will be wanting

to move on to Premier League clubs.

“He’s been connected to multiple Premier League teams,so if they don’t advance,

they’ll be sure to find him.

”David de Gea, who has been prolific shot stopper, has been considered by Sunderland as a potential replacement.

de Gea has been viewed by a number of teams, including C.Ronaldos Al Nassr.

de Gea will be considering where he would go to play first team football because,as we’ve seen with Anthony Patterson, who is only 22 and has been a regular in the first team for a long team,
Sunderland would be a great place to go.Obviously, a goalkeeper doesn’t want

to go and sit on a  benchwhen they’ve been playing regular football.
