Another day, another player is linked with a summer transfer to Celtic. Wilfred Ndidi of Leicester City takes his chance today.

According to HITC, Celtic is interested in signing the 27-year-old midfielder, who will leave the King Power Stadium on a free transfer.

Ndidi is out of contract this summer and is unlikely to sign another one.

Celtic, Newcastle, Aston Villa, Brighton, Tottenham Hotspur, and Wolves are all apparently keeping an eye on his situation.

The Nigerian international stayed with the Foxes following their relegation to the Championship last summer.

He has played 30 games for them this season and is on track to deliver them back to the top tier.

Leicester are presently top of the second tier and favourites for promotion with six games remaining.

He may be regarded a low-cost option who might add to our team and help us strengthen while operating within FFP limits.

But I’m not convinced about this new transfer link.

Yes, we must manage our expenditures this summer, and there are various areas to improve.

However, I would expect us to sign a young holding midfielder with room to grow, rather than someone whose career has become rather stagnant in recent seasons.
