While Mohamed Diomande will make his loan move permanent in the summer,

Fabio Silva and Oscar Cortes will rejoin their original clubs.

The Belgian did add three players during the January transfer window.

Since all three of them are under 22,

it is clear that Clement intends to pursue the strategy of signing gifted prospects who may succeed at this level and then selling them for a healthy profit after a few years.

The 50-year-old will need to effectively control his outgoings in addition to his goal of adding fresh talent to his first team squad at various positions.

Ryan Jack’s Rangers statistics

Jack might win the triple crown in what could be his last season at Ibrox,

even if he struggled with injuries in 2023–2024.

Due to a number of injury issues, he has really only started 12 games this season,

which has diminished his impact on the team—especially compared to the past few years.

Since coming on a free transfer from Aberdeen in 2017,

the Scot has made 210 appearances for the Light Blues, and he has unquestionably been a fantastic acquisition in terms of value for money.

But in his 11 Premiership games this season,

Jack has averaged just 42 minutes a game, completed 87% of his passes successfully,

created two significant opportunities, and only lost possession 4.6 times.

Although his injury-related problems have kept him out of most games,

the midfielder has not been able to build on any respectable performances because of his lack of playing time. These numbers are hardly the worst in the world.

In order to obtain a transfer fee, the club would have been better off selling him last summer and keeping Glen Kamara on staff—who was unquestionably an improvement over Jack.

Kamara made 193 appearances for the Light Blues during his time in Glasgow,

scoring nine goals along the way. He was an important part of the team that won the league in 2020–21 and advanced to the Europa League final the following year.

Early in the Finnish star’s Rangers career, Steven Gerrard called him a “monster,”

saying that his presence in the center of the midfield strengthened the team.
