Ibrox Latest: Rangers gifted huge boost as £40,000-a-week signing is now possible, Clement really rates him
According to sources, Rangers players at Ibrox have received a significant boost ahead of a possible summer contract
as they attempt to finish their title return in the Scottish Premiership.
Rangers transfer news
appeared down and out under Michael Beale earlier in the season, Clement has put the team in position to win the
Scottish Premiership. With three arrivals during the January transfer window, the former AS Monaco manager has
also received support along the route.
Mohamed Diomande, whose loan deal will become permanent this summer, Fabio Silva and Oscar Cortes all came
through the door at Ibrox and have all had the chance to make an impact ever since. Now, ahead of the summer,
rumours have already begun to circle over further potential incomings under Clement.
Lennon Miller, a teenager from Motherwell, and Gijs Smal, a full-back from FC Twente, are two players that reports
have already connected Rangers to in two transactions that would bolster the present squad at Ibrox. However, the
first name in the door might be one Glasgow supporters are already acquainted with.
Football Insider’s Pete O’Rourke reports that Wolverhampton Wanderers would now consider less expensive bids for
Fabio Silva this summer. Silva’s high price tag reportedly prevented Clement from signing him permanently in
January, and instead he was obliged to accept a loan arrangement.
Through the Daily Record, the Rangers manager acknowledged: “We’ll see what the situation is. Although I would
have preferred to purchase Fabio, the club could not afford him, thus he is on loan.”
The fact that Wolves are reportedly willing to split ways with Silva this summer for a “huge” loss on their original
outlay should be viewed as a major boost, given earlier reports suggested that Rangers
were due to make contact over a permanent signing for Silva.
“Generational” Silva will only get better
With four goals in 15 games, Silva has already showed glimmers of his potential. A permanent move to Scotland is
expected to enhance his game even further. The forward is only 21 years old, so he’s far from developed, but even
though he occasionally struggled to demonstrate it at Wolves, the potential is unquestionably there.
