Borussia Dortmund and Rangers are in the running for the £17 million-rated teenager, while Chelsea is expected to complete a trade.

Mikel Arteta is planning a busy summer of transfers for Arsenal in an effort to strengthen his attacking and defensive units. Although it was previously thought that the Gunners were focusing on Ousmane Diomande,

it now seems as though the Emirates club is showing interest in Mikayil Faye, a young player from Barcelona.

It is thought that Barcelona would be seeking a fee of between £12-17 million for their Senegalese 19-year-old.

Reports from Calciomercato state that Arteta’s team has joined Chelsea, Borussia Dortmund,

and Juventus in the race for the signature of the rising star who has impressed Europe with his technical and physical attributes.

A graduate of the FC Academy Diambars,

Faye became a member of Barcelona’s B team in 2023.

He was previously a member of NK Kustosija in the Prva NL, Croatia’s second division.

The 19-year-old made his senior debut in a friendly match against Gabon in March of this year, having previously played for Senegal’s U17 team.

Although Faye hasn’t yet made his senior debut for Xavi Hernandez’s team,

he has already drawn the attention of several of Barcelona’s rivals in Europe.

Faye wouldn’t likely force Gabriel or William Saliba out of the starting lineup,

and Arsenal doesn’t really need another center back,

but the Gunners might have bigger plans for the 19-year-old.

Although Faye has a reputation for having good passing skills and isn’t afraid to tackle,

he has been sent off twice for Barca Athletic because of reckless challenges.

With Chelsea, Borussia Dortmund and the Serie A combination of Juventus and Inter Milan reportedly keen,

Edu would need to make early contact with the player and his advisors if the Emirates club are serious about prizing him away from Camp Nou.
