“sneaky suspicion” – Rangers’ 15-goal scorer certified fit by medics to play Celtic

Rangers Review’s Joshua Barrie has a “sneaky suspicion” that Abdallah Sima will be fit to start for the Gers against Celtic in the Old Firm Derby.

Philippe Clement’s side will face Brendan Rodgers’ Hoops at Ibrox on Sunday (7 April),

hoping to restore the Scottish Premiership lead over their Glasgow rivals and win their first derby of the season.

Sima, a Brighton loanee, made his long-awaited return from injury from the bench against Hibernian last time out.

Rangers Review editor, Barrie, believes the forward is ready to return to the starting lineup.

Speaking on The Rangers Review YouTube channel (3 April, 25:30), he said: “I believe he [Roofe] will be on the bench.

But I have a strange feeling Sima is just about ready to start, and Sterling will undoubtedly start.

“But the biggest news that will come out of that press conference and rightly so because of his recent performances will be is Ridvan ready to play?”

Will Abdallah Sima be ready to start for Rangers in the Old Firm clash with Celtic?

There wouldn’t have been a Rangers supporter inside Ibrox who wasn’t pleased to see Sima return to the field against Hibs.

The Senegalese winger has been a revelation since arriving in Glasgow on loan from Brighton.

While few of Michael Beale’s summer recruits have disappointed in light blue, particularly in attack,

Sima has provided a unique dimension in possession that has really impressed under Clement’s leadership.
