News Update:£13m Newcastle United target attracts Celtic interest.

Celtic’s attention has been drawn to a strong Russian season with Newcastle transfer links.

This summer, Eduard Spertsyan has been mentioned as a potential Celtic transfer target.

This season, the versatile attacker who can play as a winger on either side has made an impression for Krasnodar in Russia.

He currently has eight goals and five assists.

Nothing happened, but with Russian teams still barred from European competitions,

his destiny will become clear once more this summer.

A’significant’ price reduction is expected, according to the Daily Record.

Celtic has already scouted the player, who has been capped 25 times by Armenia.

The 23-year-old, who has two years left on his contract,

He disclosed to TuttoMercato earlier in the season that the president of Krasnodar is hoping for a minimum of £13

million in exchange for him.

“Yes,” replied Spertsyan, “I want to play in Europe soon.” I must struggle and put in effort (for it).

“However, I want to attempt seeing Europe while I have the opportunity because I’m not sure what might occur there.

“Yes, he had a good season last year, but our Russian clubs don’t compete in European competition,” he clarified.
