When Tottenham plays West Ham, Lucas Paqueta is expected to cause “problems,” according to Lilywhite Rose’s John Wenham.

On Tuesday, April 2, Ange Postecoglou will lead his team to the London Stadium for a Premier League derby.

Spurs will be hoping to continue their winning streak after Son Heung-min’s late goal at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium (30 March) gave the North London team a 2-1 victory over Luton Town.

Wenham has identified Paqueta as a possible game-changer for the hosts ahead of the London derby.

Speaking exclusively to Tottenham News, Wenham, the founder of reputable Spurs podcast Lilywhite Rose, said: “At home, under the lights, West Ham will be right up for it.

“If we’re not at 100%, we will lose, we need to go out there and play at our absolute best if we want to get something from the game.

“I want three points but being realistic I would take one if you asked me now, this is a very tough game for us.

“Paqueta is such a dangerous player for them, and you can see why Manchester City wanted him last summer.

“He will cause us problems, and we will need to be switched on.”

One of the matches that both fan bases typically search for the most when the games are announced at the start of the season is Spurs vs. West Ham.

The Hammers are always eager to outdo their London rivals, so the matchup is always intense.

Postecoglou will be eager to get back at Spurs, where David Moyes’ team defeated them 2-1 earlier in the season on December 7.

Paqueta will certainly be someone to look out for, and the Australian must ensure he has a plan in place to stop the playmaker from causing his side too many issues.
