In a recent piece published in the Mail on Sunday,

Rangers winger Ross McCausland was named one of five “next generation” talents from Northern Ireland.

The Ibrox gem was listed as one of the players to watch from the next generation of potential by the newspaper on Sunday,

March 31, page 88, in its print edition, along with Callum Marshall, Braiden Graham, George Feeney, and Ceadrach O’Neill.

Under Philippe Clement’s direction, McCausland has made his breakthrough into the Light Blues’ first squad this season.

He has impressed and become stronger as the Gers aim for a possible domestic treble.

The Mail on Sunday discussed the winger,

writing: “Wrighter McCausland rose through the ranks at Linfield before being signed by the Rangers in 2019.”

McCausland is a skillful player who can make precise passes and hold up the ball.

“Made his Northern Ireland debut last year against Finland and scored in the Europa League last November for Rangers against Aris Limassol.”

It’s possible that the excitement surrounding McCausland at Ibrox has somewhat subsided in recent weeks and months as both supporters and analysts have grown accustomed to the winger’s playmaking approach and have somewhat adjusted their expectations.

Even though the Northern Irish international has continued to amaze,

he is still very raw and is still developing as a player for the Light Blues.

Though he might not be flawless, he is undoubtedly captivating.

One could argue that, of all the players mentioned in this article,

McCausland has been the most successful thus far this season.

He plays a regular for a squad that is formidable in Europe and has been battling on all fronts.

Hopefully, a Premiership crown this season will allow him to top off a fantastic rookie campaign with the Light Blues.

The 20-year-old will therefore be in a prime position to soar to new heights at Ibrox in the upcoming seasons.
