Rangers fans face hardline penalties if they don’t purchase tickets after successful ballot – including points deduction

RANGERS has disclosed stringent new criteria for supporters requesting tickets to away games.

Supporters of the Light Blues can join a membership program called MyGers, which awards points to participants throughout the season and divides them into bronze, silver, and gold categories. The Ibrox club operate a loyalty scheme for tickets for fans

Fans can earn points in a number of ways, including by paying for the club’s TV subscription channel and attending games.

Prior to this, MyGers members received points simply for signing up and had first pick of the hat for tickets to support their side when traveling.

As a result, they were spared the actual expense of purchasing their ticket.

Yet all of this is about to change.

In an email sent to members, the club announced severe sanctions for those who did not pick up tickets following a successful poll.

The registration link for Michael Beale’s team’s August 5 match at Rugby Park was broken.

The email said as follows: “We would like to inform supporters that, in response to their feedback,

if you successfully register for a match and receive a ticket through the ballot,

but decide not to purchase, this will be considered a non-registration.

You will therefore be disqualified from the next five domestic away match ballots before you can receive another ticket, regardless of your friendship grouping.

“In addition, five MyGers points will be subtracted.

“This deduction will take effect the week after the relevant away game.
