Derek Ferguson is concerned that Rangers could lose out on Lennon Miller to Celtic if they don’t get a deal sorted soon

The expert believes the young player from Motherwell is a great talent who he would “love” to see at Ibrox.

He still needs to work on his goal-scoring ability,

albeit one was disqualified against Aberdeen due to “criminal circumstances” [Scottish Sun, 20 March].

Ferguson, though, is aware that the Light Blues cannot afford to be complacent or they risk losing out,

especially as the midfield sensation has been linked to a possible transfer to either side of the Old Firm.

“Yeah, that is a worry because Celtic will be in the same kind of thought process,

that they want to get the best young players,” he acknowledged in an exclusive interview with Ibrox News.

Given that he is only 17 years old and has an experienced mind on a youthful frame,

I would want to see him sign with the Rangers. He acts like a 28-year-old when playing the game.

The one thing is that he will only become better.

The VAR decision to take away the goal [against Aberdeen] was completely unlawful.

Based on my observations, I believe that this young kid has what it takes to be a very good player if he can improve and score a few more goals.

“It is highly likely that he will play for Scotland in the future.”

Rangers could lose out if a talented Motherwell player relocates to Parkhead.

The Light Blues should act quickly to avoid perhaps facing Miller in future Old Firm derbies if they are considering making a move for him at all.

But given how highly regarded he is, he might end up quitting the Scottish Premiership entirely if both Glasgow teams wait too long.

Ryan Given that Jack’s contract expires at the end of the season, the player from Fir Park might go in right away as his replacement.

In unrelated Rangers news, a BBC pundit criticized the “downright disrespectful” Gers for a “absolutely scandalous” event.
