BREAKING: Celtic Lawyer Reacts After SFA Verdict.

Using social media, Celtic’s attorney at the SFA hearing on Thursday afternoon expressed his happiness to be defending the team once more.

Due to remarks he made following Celtic’s loss to Hearts earlier this month, Brendan Rodgers was facing a two- or three-match suspension.

There was a very real chance that the Irishman would be sitting in the stands for the Glasgow derby match at Ibrox at the start of April, since the SFA would not review the issue until the end of March.

The suspension is only for one game, which will be served this Sunday against Livingston, thanks to De Marco’s intervention.

The bhoys won’t have to go without their gaffer for a crucial derby, even though it’s not ideal.

De Marco posted the following on social media following the verdict:

It is a joy to represent Brendan and Celtic FC at today’s hearing, as it always is. I am eager to watch a game at Celtic Park once more in the near future.

Without a doubt, if Celtic hadn’t vehemently contested the allegation, the SFA would have most likely suspended Brendan for at least two games.

The departure of the head of referees as a result of an unofficial vote of no confidence by SPFL members has been going on behind all of this circus.

When the allegation was revealed, Celtic expressed their shock and made their stance on referees and VAR clear.

For the hoops, the most important thing is to proceed with the current task. We play a crucial match this coming weekend against Livingston, and a loss could cause us to lose the Derby.
