Rangers star’s departure is anticipated, and a team clearout for Philippe Clement is anticipated

The Belgian has a good chance of making an impact on the Gers squad this summer.

According to Derek Ferguson, Scott Wright will probably leave the Rangers since Philippe Clement want to reassemble his team this summer.

Since joining the Ibrox team from Aberdeen, the 26-year-old winger has almost always been on the periphery,

coming and going from the squad under a number of different managers.

After Michael Beale told him he could find a new club last summer, he appeared ready to leave the team,

but he made a U-turn after traveling to Turkey for negotiations with Pendikspor.

Despite staying to fight for his position, he hasn’t played much until recently due to a minor injury crisis that has affected wingers Ross McCausland,

Oscar Cortes, and Dujon Sterling.

Wright was given an opportunity to play in the crucial Europa League matchup with Benfica,

and he did well that evening.

“It was a strong performance [against Benfica],” he said to Ibrox News.

In my opinion, Scott has performed better coming off the bench,

but the manager at Rangers was forced to play him due to the current injury situation,

if you can call it that.

He’s one of those guys who consistently makes you believe that he can perform at that caliber,

and he occasionally did in that match.

However, in terms of the whole package,

I don’t believe he’s done himself any favors in the previous four or five seasons.

“I doubt he will make a sustained commitment to the Rangers in the long run.

During this summer break, Philippe Clement will likely want to make some significant changes.

“As good as Scott has accomplished,

keep in mind that he has been really successful,

won a few medals while with the Rangers, not played a ton of games,

but has occasionally been crucial off the bench.

However, I don’t believe he has a great future with the Rangers.
