Jack Butland profit of more than £20 million is expected for Man City at Ibrox as a Premier League bid is suggested.

Derek Ferguson finds it hard to believe Jack Butland was signed by Rangers on a free transfer,

given that he would shortly be sold for a very high fee at Ibrox.

The analyst hopes the recently rejected former England international stays at Ibrox for the long run,

but he anticipates that one or more elite Premier League clubs will make a serious bid this summer, estimated to be in the neighborhood of £20 million.

Ferguson is still optimistic that the evident bond between the 31-year-old and Philippe Clement will ward off the transfer danger, but he is astounded by the potential profit if the temptation becomes too great.

In an exclusive interview with Ibrox News, he stated: ”

To think we got him for free, for nothing, and we could sell him for,

I’m going to say this, £20 million or more, what a bit of business that would be.”

However, you want to win things and you want the best players to be at Rangers.

There’s a mutual respect between him and the management, which is evident in their connection.

Therefore, let’s hope Big Jack stays with us,

but don’t be shocked if one of the big boys in England wants to come take him.

Big changes are on the way for the Rangers player trading model?

This summer will undoubtedly see a lot of players leave Ibrox,

but Rangers won’t be looking elsewhere for Butland until they are in severe financial need.

Thanks to his performances this season,

he has garnered enough notice on his own that Nottingham Forest rejected a sizable bid for him in January [Scottish Sun, 25 February].

The fact that the former Crystal Palace player declined the offer may give rise to the possibility that he would do so once more,

but it might be difficult to turn down a bid from someone who might place one.

Butland appears to be the most marketable commodity if the manager needs money to make another team revamp. Dujon Sterling,

who impressed after joining on a free transfer,

is another player who is predicted to bring in a lot of money for the Light Blues.
