‘It’s going to be difficult’ – Erik ten Hag reveals star could miss the rest of the season

Erik ten Hag has revealed that defender Tyrell Malacia may miss the rest of the season after suffering an injury setback.

The Red Devils have faced several injury issues during the season, much like most other Premier League teams this year.

Ten Hag has been particularly affected by these injury worries in his defensive line,

as he was forced to depend on Harry Maguire and Jonny Evans as a center-back combination for several games in a row in the early half of the season.

However, United’s biggest weakness has been at left defense,

where Diogo Dalot has frequently been forced to play as a makeshift left-sided defender.

Luke Shaw has only started 15 games this season, but Tyrell Malacia has missed the whole year due to a persistent knee injury,

and the Dutch manager has hinted that he might not be able to play again this year.

“I believe it will be challenging for him (Malacia) to be available this season.

” Through the Manchester Evening News, he stated.

“He’s back on the field and will fight, but he’s not in the team.

The process hasn’t gone well for him, and he’s still moving very slowly as the season draws to a close.”

For an estimated £14.7 million, the 24-year-old joined for Ajax in 2022. In his first Premier League season, he started 14 games.
