It appears that Brighton & Hove Albion has once again struck a personal agreement with a Boca player.

It appears that Brighton & Hove Albion has done it once more. Brighton has secured the signing of Boca Juniors star Valentín Barco,

defeating rivals including Manchester City. With a current market value of €13 million, the Premier League club has activated his $10 million (€9.15 million) release clause in order to sign the 19-year-old. Barco is a flexible player who can operate as a central midfielder, left winger, or left back.

Barco had his medical in his own country done before completing his transfer to the Premier League.

He is now training with the Argentina U23 team in preparation for the Olympic qualification event.

Technical director David Weir said in a club release, “We have been impressed with the progress he has made at domestic and international level and have known Valentin for a long time.”

We are excited to watch him grow and develop under Roberto [de Zerbi] and are happy to welcome him to the team.

He has mostly operated as a left full-back, wing-back, or winger, although he has also displayed his versatility by playing all midfield positions for Boca.

Although he is an enticing possibility, we must allow him the time he needs to adjust to his new environment and the Premier League.
