Oliver Glasner hasn’t spent any time in examining some of Crystal Palace’s top young players in greater detail.

Recently released video from the warm-weather training camp in Marbella features first-team players including Danny Imray,

Franco Umeh, and Kaden Rodney, who are all academy stars.

Following the Crystal Palace players’ return to south London,

Oliver Glasner has seen the development of another young talent in his training program.

Roshaun Mathurin may be more familiar to Crystal Palace supporters who follow academy developments as Trialist B.

After making an impression in multiple trial games while playing under the name Trialist B, the 20-year-old acquired the moniker.

When Mathurin was released from Tottenham in June 2023,

he immediately received an offer to sign a professional deal at Selhurst Park because of his outstanding accomplishments as Trialist B.

The winger may now be seen in training videos that Crystal Palace has uploaded to Palace TV.

Mathurin is shown with Victor Akinwale, another young player involved in first-team duties who did not go to Marbella.

Victor Akinwale is another gifted player.

When Glasner, 49, considers his needs in the transfer market this summer,

it is evident that he is closely examining the talent that Crystal Palace currently has on its roster.

Following a report from A Bola in Portugal that states Glasner has requested Dougie Freedman to recruit another winger in Sporting CP No. 10 Marcus Edwards,

Mathurin might be able to save Crystal Palace millions by stepping up.

In his 15 Premier League 2 games this season, the Londoner has tallied three goals and four assists.
Well observed

Since this is Glasner‘s first management position in England and we haven’t yet guaranteed safety in the Premier League,

it would be extremely easy for him to simply rely on his experienced heads at Selhurst Park and ignore the younger potential for the time being.

The academy prospects at Crystal Palace now have a genuine chance to advance thanks to the man from Salzburg,

which is quite encouraging considering Roy Hodgson hardly ever showed them any interest at all.

In the hopes of becoming a regular starter at Selhurst Park,

one of these gifted young players can emulate the success of players like Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Tyrick Mitchell.
