Bojan Miovski acknowledges he’s gone a long way since his first club,

where his bedroom was infested with rats, to become one of Europe’s most sought-after strikers.

However, he claims that he is thrilled to stay at Aberdeen and that the transfer speculation simply demonstrates that he is doing his job correctly.

The North Macedonian international scored his 20th goal of the season against Rangers this week,

coming just days after scoring against Celtic.

He appears to be the subject of substantial transfer interest this summer,

with Aberdeen likely to rake in a record fee that will undoubtedly demolish their current record of £4.2 million acquired from Liverpool for Calvin Ramsay.

In an interview with a Serbian magazine, Miovski, however, asserts that he has no plans to leave.

He stated, “I am having the best season of my career at Aberdeen, and I am enjoying football.

“I enjoy Scotland. It has a strong affinity for football. People adore the club and follow us wherever we go.

I enjoy Scottish football because it is played rapidly and the balls are constantly thrown towards the strikers.

“The game involves a lot of contact, but it’s straightforward, and I enjoy seeing so much action in the penalty box.

“I’m glad to be associated with clubs like Celtic, Rangers, and Southampton because it implies I’m making progress.

“I still have two years left on my contract in Aberdeen, I am focused on the club and on winning a place in Europe like last year.

“What will the future bring?I don’t know.

“Now I am solely focused on my club, and my goal is to be as good as possible.

“Aberdeen are one of the top three clubs in Scotland. Celtic and Rangers are one thing,

but Aberdeen is another; our club signs young players for lower wages and offers everyone an opportunity.

“It is a historic club; just look at the fact that Real Madrid,

the most trophy-winning team in Europe, last lost a European final to Aberdeen.”

And the 24-year-old described his poor football beginnings, which took him to Pittodrie.

He stated, “I am the only one in my family who plays football.

I came through the Macedonian FA Academy and played my debut match as a left back.

“I signed for Rabotnicki before receiving an offer from a Macedonian coach to sign on loan with Qarabag in Azerbaijan.

It sounded wonderful because I had the opportunity to compete against Chelsea,

Roma, and Atletico Madrid in the Champions Youth League.

“However, when I arrived, I was really dissatisfied by the conditions. Our base was like a boarding school. It was extremely terrible.

“Mice were under the bed in the room where I slept. Those were the most difficult moments of my life.

I couldn’t sleep; I was counting down the days until I could return home, and I only lasted four months.

“I was told I wasn’t wanted in the main squad at Rabotnicki, so I traveled to Belgrade to join for Zemun,

but there I got another shock: the club didn’t pay some former players and was forbidden from signing new players.

Ten of us were told we had to go.  did not receive any money at all.

“I had to return home and sign with Dorce Petrov, then Renova, when I had my worst moment.

I came in as a sub in the 73rd minute and was substituted off before the end of the game.

“Finally, a new manager, Bujar Islami, arrived and I started to play and score goals.

“It is difficult to secure a transfer from the Macedonian division to a good club. But MTK Budapest was the correct decision for me,

made at the right moment. The Hungarian league provided me with an excellent opportunity to prove myself.

It was encouraging to see that young players are given opportunities.

“I played in the MTK jersey for two years, and we had both good and difficult times.

The last six months were not so fantastic, but as a reward, I received offers from Fehervar in Hungary and Aberdeen.

“The decision to go to Scotland was the best in my career.”
