SCARY TITLE RACE: Celtic goalkeeper, Joe Hart,

announced leaving amid the Premiership title race.

The England and Manchester City player moved from Tottenham to Celtic in the summer of 2021;

Hart has since added all of the main honors in England to his collection of English titles.

On Sunday at 11 a.m., watch Motherwell vs. Celtic live on Sky Sports.

Joe Hart, the goalie for Celtic, stated he was unwilling to wrap up his playing career at any other club

and that he preferred to do so on his

own terms.

The 75-time maximum. This Monday, the 37-year-old England international declared his intention to retire at the end of the current

campaign.

After leaving Tottenham in the summer of 2021,

the former Manchester City star revitalized his career and added a slew of Scottish

domestic medals to his collection of all English major honors.

He wants the conversation about his future to swiftly shift to how he plans to build on this victory

as Celtic looks to overcome Rangers in a

fierce title assault after losing first place in the Premiership last weekend.

Hart declared: “My family and I have enjoyed every second of being here;

it has been everything and more than I could have ever imagined,

and I will always be grateful that I was able to represent this club.

“I find the most satisfaction in the fact that many individuals here appreciate my presence and my wholehearted effort.

Whether it is negative, positive, or neutral.

“I’m sure there have been many occasions when people have wanted me in or out, but that’s the life of a goalie.

In the end, though, you’re accepted as a person and invited into an extremely exclusive club.

At the conclusion of this season, I will turn 37.

I wasn’t sure whether I fit into the club’s desired direction or not.

That was not even a topic we had.

“If there is such a thing, I feel I am in that place,

and I feel like it’s the right time,

” Hart, who made his Shrewsbury first-team debut 20 years ago, continued.

“I looked at what age I’m going to be, I’m aware of all the stresses I have put myself through body-wise all through my career.

There was no way I was going to try to play somewhere else.”

“I wasn’t particularly interested in waiting to find out.

I wasn’t interested in playing elsewhere because of the cycle I’ve managed to complete here over the past three years.

It felt natural.

“I have a lot of love and respect for this club, and I want it to go on to bigger and better things,

so I felt like I knew and I wanted the club to know.”

“It is unnecessary to speculate about whether a consistent starter will accept a contract offer, sign it, or pursue other opportunities.

When we’re all in agreement, that unnecessary narrative is eliminated, so I felt it was necessary to address it.

Hart’s decision gives manager Brendan Rodgers one less major decision to make as he prepares for what looks to be an important summer

transfer window.

“There will be a couple of days of noise but after that no one will care.

‘Oh right, Joe is retiring at the end of the season, Celtic need a goalkeeper,

but right now he is there and he is going to be head down and fully fighting for this special club,'” Rodgers said.

“I think we are very clear on what we need to improve on within the team and the squad,” added Rodgers,

who will be joined on Sunday’s trip to Motherwell by Alistair Johnston and Cameron Carter-Vickers, who are returned from injuries.

“But certainly with Joe going, that really quickens that up in terms of needing to bring in someone for next year.”
