The strongest clue yet that Max Verstappen might leave Red Bull for Mercedes.

The subject of Max Verstappen’s future at Red Bull erupted over the previous Grand Prix weekend.

Prior to the Australian Grand Prix, Max Verstappen provided an update on his future with Red Bull,

saying that despite continuous turbulence behind the scenes, he is “fixed” in his position with the company.

Even though the defending world champion leads the Drivers’ Championship standings with a perfect record going into the third round of the season in 2024, there have been significant problems within the Red Bull team.

Jos Verstappen, the father of Christian Horner, has spoken out publicly about the ongoing drama surrounding his son.

He has also jeopardized the future of close buddy Helmut Marko, who was put under investigation in Jeddah, albeit briefly.

Verstappen has been given more time to mend his relationship with Red Bull,

with whom he has a contract through the end of 2028, now that Marko has been exonerated of any wrongdoing in regard to the leak of the Horner communications that went around the paddock.

Verstappen declared, “I think there’s every reason to be happy,” while in Melbourne. The automobile is operating pretty smoothly.

The team is made up of so many amazing individuals that never stop pushing for improved outcomes.

That is my main concern. I’m happy and concentrate on the performance; until I get home, my mind is largely fixed and I don’t think about anything else. Additionally, that’s where I wish to be.

Toto Wolff, the principal of the Mercedes team, will not be encouraged by this to sign Verstappen. Perez, on the other hand, is eager to concentrate on his own destiny. The 34-year-old’s contract expires at the end of the current campaign, but he has made a great start to 2024 by earning back-to-back P2 finishes.
