Rangers Gaffer signs new deal until summer of 2026

The former Lionesses player, who joined the Gers from Birmingham City last June,

has taken the club to first place in the Scottish Women’s Premier League after an unbeaten start to the season.

Rangers are also in the Sky Sports Cup final against Partick Thistle, which will be broadcast live on Sky Sports,

looking to retain the trophy after winning it at Tynecastle Park for the first time last season,

and face Hibernian in the Scottish Cup last eight.

“It was kind of a no-brainer for me when the club approached me about extending my stay,

” Potter explained after signing her new contract.

“It’s the beginning of something truly amazing, and the club has made me feel very welcome and has been quite supportive of my ideas and working style. I’ve really liked the previous few months here.”

Donald Gillies, managing director of women’s and girls’ football, added: “I’ve liked working with Jo since I joined the club.

I am glad that we were able to move quickly through the contract negotiations, demonstrating her dedication to the Rangers.

“The professionalism, high standards, and passion that Jo and all of the coaching and support staff have shown to make this club successful is visible both on and off the field.

“We hope that hard work is rewarded with some silverware and we are in a strong position to achieve that goal under Jo.”

Leaders Rangers are presently four points ahead of Celtic and champions Glasgow City in the SWPL heading into the post-split matches, with each team meeting those in their respective halves twice until May 19.

Following the blockbuster Old Firm match between Rangers and Celtic to kick off the post-split games on March 17,

Glasgow City will host Celtic on March 31 before visiting Rangers on April 14 (live on Sky Sports).
