Rangers could have a juicy transfer windfall as the approval of Bayern Munich is anticipated to bring in money.

After relocating to the Netherlands, the former Ibrox loanee has made an impression, and the Eredivisie team is prepared to exercise their option to purchase him.

Rangers are expected to receive a substantial transfer windfall as PSV Eindhoven intensifies their attempts to turn Malik Tillman’s summer loan from Bayern Munich into a permanent agreement.

The USA international signed with the Eredivisie team at the beginning of the season and has become an important member of Peter Bosz’s team,

leading them to the league title and a spot in the Champions League round of 16.

Due to the 21-year-old’s success,

PSV director of football Earnie Stewart is eager to move through a permanent contract that is rumored to be worth over £12 million,

which would significantly improve the Gers’ financial situation.

As part of the present deal with the German champions, the Ibrox side will pocket a large portion of the revenues should the move be approved.

After Tillman made a good impression during his season-long loan transfer,

former Light Blues manager Michael Beale was keen to exercise the club’s option-to-buy clause for the player last summer.

However, Bayern withdrew from their agreement with the massive Scottish Premiership team at the last minute,

paying £1 million in compensation and pledging to contribute 10% of any future sales.

When talking about Tillman’s and Sergino Dest’s futures on ESPN,

Stewart was asked if he had the last say over both players’ permanent contracts.

“Yes, I think that’s reasonable,” he replied. “That’s entirely reasonable.

It is true that both players have performed admirably for PSV Eindhoven, and we sincerely hope they stay.”

If Bayern accept a transfer bid, Tillman is willing to permanently move to the Netherlands for £12 million,

which would provide the Gers a nice £1.2 million windfall.

“It’s more up to the clubs than it is to me,” he said. Yes,

I would be content to stay. Both Bayern and PSV have the final say.”

Tillman may yet return to the Bundesliga’s top team once his loan period ends because an agreement between the two teams has not yet been finalized.
