Jeremie Frimpong has apparently expressed a readiness to finalize a move to Bayern Munich at some point,

which may leave Celtic with cash.

The right-back joined the Hoops in 2019 after spending time in the Manchester City academy,

and his form encouraged Bayer Leverkusen to sign him for about £11 million in 2021.

Xabi Alonso’s team is vying for Bundesliga gold, and the right-back’s form has sparked interest,

including from the typically powerful German force.

Leverkusen has quoted suitors a sum of €40 million, which is approximately £34.2 million.

With Celtic selling him for about £11 million, such a deal would net them another slightly more than £10 million with a 30% sell-on clause.

According to sources in Germany, Frimpong has been accused.

It has been suggested that former Bayern Munich sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic met with Frimpong in secret during the 2022/23 season.

They maintained their interest but went on to sign Noussair Mazraoui, a cheaper option at the moment.

During that discussion, however, the former Parkhead star is alleged to have indicated that he could see himself at the Allianz Arena.

Max Eberl, the new sporting director, is confident in his abilities.

Frimpong has scored 11 goals and 10 assists this season while playing defensively, while taking up forward positions on the pitch.

He ignited Leverkusen’s amazing comeback against Qarabag in the Europa League round of 16 on Thursday.

He scored the opening goal of the home comeback, while trailing 2-0 at home and 4-2 on aggregate.

Patrick Schick then scored twice in stoppage time to seal a historic victory and a rematch with West Ham in the last eight.
