Tottenham will lose to Everton in the transfer race for a “Outstanding” EFL player after Jarrad Branthwaite update.

Carlton Palmer believes that Everton will present Hull City defender Jacob Greaves with a greater chance to make an impression in the Premier League than Tottenham Hotspur.

As Sean Dyche tries to bolster his defensive options during the summer transfer window, reports arose linking the Toffees with the “outstanding” Tigers center-back [The Mirror, 5 March], particularly in light of Jarrad Branthwaite’s ongoing rumors of leaving.

Even though Greaves’ summer contract is up for grabs, Palmer thinks Everton will give the 23-year-old regular playing time if they pull off a “big money” transfer to get him to Goodison Park.

“Everton are bracing themselves for Jarrad Branthwaite to leave in the summer, and I think Greaves is ready to start in the Premier League,” he stated, as reported by Football League World on March 15.

Because of his contract, which expires in the summer of 2026, Hull can demand a high price to have him leave, and Everton will benefit financially from Branthwaite’s departure.

Since he will probably get more playing time at Everton than at Spurs, I believe that joining them is a better decision for him. I believe he would have to wait his turn if he went to Tottenham, but since Everton is losing Branthwaite, he will be joining immediately, and it will be a wise decision for Jacob.

The Toffees obviously need another defensive alternative at Goodison Park as teams like Chelsea and Manchester United appear set to lose Branthwaite, a 21-year-old who was called up by England.

The Toffees will need a new center-back who can partner James Tarkowski, so if Dyche’s team decides to move Branthwaite this summer, it will probably be for a sizable chunk of money.

It is unclear if Everton will play in the Championship or the Premier League, but based on his performance this season, Greaves should have no trouble adjusting to life in the top tier in England.

If Branthwaite leaves the Toffees before the summer transfer window closes, hopefully they can keep him at Goodison Park. If not, Dyche and his recruitment team obviously have another plan in place on Merseyside.
