Ibrox Latest: Clement’s biggest Rangers problem grows deeper after official statement today

Fabio Silva, a Rangers loanee, has been called up to the Portugal Under-21 team in advance of their next

qualifying matches.

In two Euro U21 qualifying matches, Rui Jorge’s team will play the Faroe Islands

on March 21 and then travel to Croatia five days later.

Although Silva is happy about the call-up personally, it means the young player won’t have time

to relax during the next two weeks.

The quantity of games is quickly wearing out the players, as the Gers’ 1-0 setback to Benfica on Thursday, March 14, made quite evident.

Silva wasn’t the only one who appeared exhausted in the last twenty-five minutes at Ibrox as Philippe Clement’s team

was eliminated from European competition.

From now on, Clement’s squad rotation will need to be strategic, but he can only use the resources at his disposal.

The main worry is that injuries are starting to happen more frequently as a result of players’ bodies failing them.

Since signing on loan from Wolves, Fabio Silva has made a positive impression; however, let’s hope that his

performance does not suddenly decline because of weariness.
