Chicago, Illinois – On offense, the Chicago Bears are starting a familiar face again.
The Bears announced on Friday that Dante Pettis had reached an agreement to a
one-year contract.
For the past two years, Pettis has been a member of the Bears.
In the 2022 season, he participated in all 17 games and started seven of them.
Pettis resigned in April of 2023. But on August 26, he was put on injured reserve,
and on September 6, 2023, he was freed after receiving compensation for his
injuries.
, a receiver for the Los Angeles Chargers, was acquired by the Bears on Thursday
night in exchange for a draft pick.
Pettis has hauled in 19 catches for 245 yards and three touchdowns while playing in
Chicago. Pettis has caught 71 passes for 984 yards and 12 touchdowns over his
career.
The Bears strengthen their special teams as well with Pettis. In 2022, Pettis was a
kick returner for the Bears.
