Unbelievable:Kansas City Chiefs Set To Welcome New key Player From Las Vegas Raiders
On Tuesday, it was reported that Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes is restructuring his contract to free up $21.6 million in salary space for the organization. The Chiefs may use the increased money to fill multiple voids on the roster, particularly in the wide receiver group.
Kansas City’s wideout depth is poor, with Marquez Valdes-Scantling and Mecole Hardman leaving for free agency. Rashee Rice was fantastic in his rookie year, and Skyy Moore and Justin Watson showed promise here and there; nevertheless, the names Justyn Ross and Kadarius Toney do not inspire confidence.
1.WR Curtis Samuel Curtis Samuel is one of those underestimated receivers who can do everything in a gadget-like manner.
Samuel has had success both in the air and on the ground during his tenure with the Carolina Panthers and the Washington Commanders. In 91 career games, the former Ohio State Buckeye has 3,383 receiving yards, 715 rushing yards, and 29 touchdowns.
With head coach Andy Reid’s creative mind, it’s interesting to imagine how Samuel could fit into Kansas City’s system. He has 600 receiving yards in back-to-back seasons with the Commanders, but that was with quarterbacks Carson Wentz, Taylor Heinicke, and Sam Howell tossing him the ball.
