Confirmed: Rangers star omitted as official announcement made today

Despite his incredible form for Rangers, Jack Butland has not been included in the England team for the

forthcoming international break.

The goalie was anticipated to be announced as one of the three goalkeepers on the team

for this month’s friendlies against Belgium and Brazil.

Butland will, in an unexpected move, stay in Glasgow as Gareth Southgate chose Jordan Pickford, Sam Johnstone,

and Aaron Ramsdale as his alternatives.

England’s loss is Rangers gain

Although Southgate has many excellent goalkeeping alternatives at his disposal, Butland is undoubtedly being

discussed, and it’s absurd that he hasn’t been included.

Pickford is without a doubt the best, and it is understandable given his accomplishments for Southgate and England

in important tournaments, even though Sam Johnstone plays frequently for Crystal Palace.

But while Ramsdale is a great goalkeeper in his own right he simply isn’t playing at all for Arsenal, and Butland is

playing every game for Rangers and at a phenomenal level both domestically and in Europe.

Instead, the player will get to practice with the team of Philippe Clement and possibly have a brief vacation before

the season’s final stretch.

Rangers can only benefit from that, and although Butland will undoubtedly be disappointed, perhaps he can use it as

motivation to win trophies at Ibrox.

In other Rangers news, a senior Ibrox star is set to receive an official offer “in days.”
