On Saturday, April 20, Celtic will play Aberdeen, and on Sunday, April 21, Hearts

will play Rangers at Hampden Park.

The dates, kickoff times, and ticket distribution for Celtic and Rangers’ Scottish Cup

semifinal matches in 2023–2024 have been confirmed.

The Hoops will play first on Saturday, April 20, against Aberdeen, with a 12:30 pm

kickoff, while the Gers will play second on Sunday, April 21, with a 3 pm kickoff.

Rangers vs. Hearts will only air on Viaplay, although the Celtics vs. Aberdeen game

will air live on both BBC Scotland and Viaplay.

The following are the ticket costs for both semis: Adults £30/40, seniors £65/70, and

minors £15/£20.

The costs for wheelchair users are: £10/12 for under-16s and over-65s, £12/£22 fo

r adults.

It’s interesting to note that Celtic have been given more tickets for their game against

Aberdeen than Rangers have for their encounter with Hearts.

Prior to this, the Dons and the Jambos had each asked for an equal 50/50

distribution of tickets to their respective games; the SFA had granted Hearts’ request

but denied Aberdeen’s.

For their match, only 19,000 briefs will be sent to the North East Club.

Aberdeen released the following statement: “The Club asked to be able to sell up to

50% of the tickets; any that remain unsold by a certain period will be given to our

opponents.

Unfortunately, this has been turned down once more, mostly due to past ticket sales

at this point in the tournament.

“As a result, the Aberdeen allocation for this match will be for up to 19,000 tickets,

almost identical to the Viaplay Cup Final in December, split between the South Stand

and West Stand, depending on demand.”

Heart of Midlothian released the following statement after learning of the details of

their semi-final matchup with Rangers: “The club made a proposal yesterday to

guarantee Hearts supporters the chance to purchase seats in Hampden’s North

Stand, securing an equal share of tickets.”

With the magnitude of our opponents’ fan base and the huge ticket sales for the

semifinals, we had to present a compelling case for our position.

As a result, we are overjoyed to announce that our proposal was approved and that

Hearts and Rangers will each receive a 21k ticket allotment to sell to their respective

fan bases.

We express our gratitude to the Scottish FA for their invaluable support during this

process.

“With everyone dispersed equally and fairly throughout the national stadium,

this presents the best chance for Steven Naismith and our players to walk onto the

Hampden field.”

As many Hearts supporters as possible are now welcome to come and, ideally, enjoy

a memorable day out.

It is in our best interests to sell out and show the team the kind of support for which

Hearts fans are renowned because one of the terms of this arrangement is that the

club will pay the cost of any unsold tickets from our allocation.”
