£222m Deal Report: Aston Villa and West Ham told to pay huge for ‘wonderful’
winger, only cost £6m last summer.
Raoul Bellanova, an Italian winger who Torino recruited from Cagliari last summer,
has been outstanding ever since, contributing to six goals in Serie A and drawing
interest from West Ham and Aston Villa.
The 23-year-old, who has an impressive 20 caps for Italy’s U21 team, has now, after
previously failing to do so successfully, made a meaningful impact on the top division
of Italian football. Last summer, Torino decided to spend £6 million on him.
Following Tottenham’s February connection, Aston Villa and West Ham have
expressed interest. According to Tuttosport, Bellanova was approached by Aston
Villa and West Ham, according to Italian publication Toro News.
However, those actions were dismissed in January. Aston Villa and West Ham are
rumored to still be interested in him, and according to the Tuttosport source, a bid of
between £17 million and £22 million may be needed.

Is he truly that excellent? Bellanova is a gifted woman who is called “wonderful.” Is
he good enough to move to Villa, West Ham, or even Tottenham, three of the larger
clubs in the Premier League?
Before he is deserving of a move to the Premier League that would cost at least £20
million, it appears that he needs to spend another season in Serie A and improve his
numbers somewhat. But there is undoubtedly potential.
Villa and Spurs have plenty of options on the wings right now, but West Ham could
use one or two more wide players. A move this summer at that price seems doubtful,
but it’s one to watch.
