A former Rangers star’s coach has disclosed his ‘crazy’ salaries, while two Celtics

players are in talks for new contracts but not much has progressed thus far.

According to a Daily Record source, hoops duo Liam Scales and Rocco Vata are in

negotiations for new Celtic contracts, although neither player is “close to an

agreement.”

Scales has plenty of time remaining in his case because his contract is set to expire in

2025.

But, Vata’s current contract is set to expire in the summer, so the Hoops must move

quickly to avoid losing him on a free transfer.

Robin Veldman says Fabio Silva was on ‘insane’ wages at Wolves

Fabio Silva’s salary could prove to be a problem for Rangers, who are eager to sign

him to a long-term contract in the summer.

Robin Veldman coached Silva while he was on loan at Anderlecht; he called Silva

‘arrogant’ and his pay ‘crazy’.

Nonetheless, he declared himself “confident” about the Portuguese starlet’s success.

“Outside the pitch he can appear arrogant,” Veldman stated in an interview with the

Scottish Sun.

Fabio is self-assured in his goals and perspective. He can come across as arrogant.

However, I really like him, and it comes from the heart.

“When I first met him in Anderlecht, I thought he was a spoiled young man who was

very ambitious and too young and wealthy.

Wolves made a huge payment, and he received absurd pay for his age.

With such a large club, I sincerely hope he can find happiness. Fabio has a bright

future ahead of him, in my opinion.”
