Barisic appears to be ready to move because his negotiations with Rangers have not resulted in a good outcome
despite being open for months [Football Scotland, 3 November].
The Croatian’s delivery is on par with anyone in the SPFL, but he has frequently faced criticism for his defensive play.
Given that Brazilian Jefte is expected to join at the end of the season, the club can likely afford to let the 31-year-old
go now that he has lost his spot to Ridvan Yilmaz.
It will however mean another senior player leaving the club for no fee, after the likes of Ryan Kent, Alfredo Morelos
and Filipe Helander all departed for nothing in the summer.

taken a while to get settled at Ibrox.
It appears that Barisic’s time in Glasgow is about to end now that he has, however the 22-year-old has also been
predicted to leave in a big-money deal after being strongly linked to a move to Turkey on his own in January.
