However, that won’t be the only factor in LA pulling off a blockbuster this summer to bolster the squad. Fisher also stated that teams use a 20-player roster during the offseason. In that case, matching wages in a trade would be much simpler, which is crucial to how deals are made in the NBA these days.

It would be shocking if the Los Angeles Lakers didn’t make a significant summer trade with these new assets if they don’t finish well short of their postseason expectations this spring.
