‘If I’m honest’: Barry Ferguson says Celtic
have a ‘quality’ player who should be
playing more
Celtic has put on a few pretty amazing
displays lately. Aside from the Hearts
match, Brendan Rodgers appeared to be
getting an offensive response from his
players.
After scoring three goals past a resolute
Motherwell defense the week before, the
Celtics’ seven goals against Dundee gave
the impression that they had changed
their attacking strategy.
And last Saturday in the Scottish Cup,
that was maintained against Livingston.
With 77% of the possession, Celtic
dominated play and had 31 shots on goal.

The final score against Davd
Martindale’s team would have been
much higher if it weren’t for some
terrible finishing.
James Forrest’s appearance in the helped
those numbers.
Ferguson stated on [The Go Radio
Football Show] that although experience
is something that cannot be purchased, it
also brings quality.
James Forrest does bring that, though.
“He has visited that place. It’s done by
him. He has spent a lot of years there.
“He’s a situation-aware guy, and to be
honest, after watching Celtic over the
past few months, I’m surprised he hasn’t
gotten more playing time.”
To be honest, who do we drop to do this?
It would be difficult to inform Nicolas
Kuhn that he has been benched after his
performance against Livingston, as I
discussed earlier today in regards to
Rory Loy’s remarks.
Forrest will again be on the bench this
Saturday unless we have another injury
setback. Daizen Maeda’s three trick from
Sunday makes him a lock to start against
St Johnstone.
