Brendan Rodgers says he is excited about next season’s transfer plans

Brendan Rodgers, the manager of Celtic,

expressed his excitement about the team’s ambitions for transfers in the upcoming campaign.

After rejoining the team from the Premier League,

the Irishman has been let down by the club’s two transfer windows.

According to The Daily Record, Aaron Rodgers acknowledged that he has had time to thoroughly evaluate the team and feels that the additions made in the summer will help the group.

“After taking a closer look at this squad,

I’m quite enthused about the upcoming season.

Players who were sidelined for some time have caught my eye, and I want to grow this team.

On that front, a lot of work is being done. Is this an opportunity for me to sign it? Yes,

in my opinion, we lost key players who changed the way the game looked (last summer).

These guys had personalities in addition to being skilled football players.

“Losing that kind of personality from the team is difficult.

Despite all that has been thrown at them this season, the players have performed admirably. However, the key is to determine what it requires and how it may expand and thrive.

“Giving the guys here a chance was imperative as they had just finished a season in which they won a treble.”

However, I also understand from my football experience, particularly at teams like Celtic,

that there is a turnover every three to four years.

You need to reenergize the team even if you’re winning. We will consider doing that in the summer.

First team players Carl Starfelt and Jota left Celtic due to surprise transfers,

and Aaron Mooy retired. Players that were signed, perhaps for development,

found themselves heavily involved with the first team since there were not enough replacements to cover the departures from the team.

Celtic fans will be happy to hear this news,

but the team must move on and sign the players the manager want.

According to Rodgers, the team needed to add quality players before the January transfer market opened,

but only Adam Idah and Nicolas Kuhn showed up.
