Younger brother of Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes sentenced to 6 months unsupervised probation in battery case

According to court documents, Jackson Mahomes, the younger brother of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, entered a

plea of not guilty to a charge of sexual battery on Thursday and was given a six-month sentence of unsupervised probation.

“Jackson is appreciative of his family’s and friends’ support throughout the past year. Jackson Mahomes’ attorney, Brandan Davies,

told CNN on Friday that Jackson entered a plea of not guilty to one count of simple violence and was sentenced to six months of

unsupervised probation. “The case is now closed, and we will not be making any more statements. Jackson just wanted to move on

with his life and get the case over with.”

Mahomes was arrested and charged in May 2023 with three counts of aggravated sexual battery

and one of battery by the Johnson County District Attorney’s Office.

According to court documents, prosecutors ultimately decided not to pursue the three charges of aggravated sexual battery in January.

Patrick Mahomes, the brother of quarterback Kirk Mahomes, is the current quarterback for the Kansas City Chiefs and has won two

Super Bowls. Additionally, he is the only quarterback in history to win MVP twice in a span of just six years.

In February, Patrick Mahomes Sr., the father of Patrick Mahomes, was taken into custody in

Texas on suspicion of driving under the influence.
