Sources: Rangers in talks to sell senior star, £4m bid will be accepted

According to sources who spoke to Football Insider, Rangers would sell Ridvan Yilmaz this month if they receive an offer of between £3 and $4 million.

Transfer correspondent Pete O’Rourke stated that the Green Bay Packers are prepared to let go of the

Turkey international and would aim to reinvest any money received into a new left-back in an interview with Football Insider’s Inside Track Podcast.Rangers

The 22-year-old is reportedly attracting a lot of interest from Turkish powerhouse Galatasaray as well as Italian teams who are keen to send him home.

Yilmaz had begun negotiations with Serie A team Verona,

as Football Insider disclosed last week (10 January), and negotiations have advanced toward bringing him to Italy.

This month, Philippe Clement’s team is working with a limited budget,

and sources have informed Football Insider that they might have to sell players before adding any long-term additions, including Yilmaz.

Rangers is prepared to incur a loss on Besiktas in order to finance fresh purchases this month,

having reportedly paid £5 million for the left-back in the summer of 2022.

Given that Borna Barisic’s future is uncertain and Yilmaz is slated to go, the Gers have made signing a left-back a top priority for January.

The Championship team Leeds United is reportedly interested in signing the Croat,

whose current contract is set to expire at the end of the current campaign.

Rangers currently lead the league by eight points,

but they still have two games left to play against Celtic.

On Saturday night, January 20, they take on Dumbarton,

a fourth-tier team, in the Scottish Cup’s fourth round.
