Roony Bardghji, a target for Aston Villa, is prepared to leave FC Copenhagen this

summer, Villa News has been informed.

One of the most exciting young football talents in Europe is Bardghji.
With FC Copenhagen’s first squad, the 18-year-old has already made 72 appearances,

contributing one assist and 15 goals.

Earlier in the season, on November 8, he came off the bench to score his team’s

winning goal in the 87th minute during their historic 4-3 triumph over Manchester

United in the UEFA Champions League.

During the 2023–24 Superliga season, Bardghji has netted seven goals.

Copenhagen is now third in the standings, three points behind league leaders FC Midtjylland.

Unai Emery’s team is one of several Premier League teams interested in the forward,

as previously disclosed by Villa News (January 11).

Scouts have already visited the player’s home ground to observe him in action.

The winger is eager to take the next step this summer to advance in his career,

and  has been informed that “the time is right” for him to leave Copenhagen.

Bardghji joined Copenhagen at an early age and worked his way up through the ranks.

He made 21 appearances for the Under-19s, scoring seven goals, before making his

debut in the starting lineup.

Bardghji may soon be playing football for Emery.

He has previously made five appearances for Sweden at the Under-21 level, scoring

once in those games.

Villa is one of four Premier League teams “pushing hardest” to recruit Bardghji,

who might cost £20 million, according to HITC (5 March).

Bardghji would give Villa’s attacking options more excitement; this season, players like Ollie Watkins and Leon Bailey have impressed.
