Patrick Mahomes is impressed by a wide receiver prospect at the NFL Combine.

Now that the Kansas City Chiefs have completed their 2023 season with their second consecutive Super Bowl victory,

it is time to focus on the offseason. Everyone thinks about free agency, but for a team with limited cap room, like the

Chiefs, the draft is just as crucial, if not more so.

The NFL Scouting Combine took place last week, and Patrick Mahomes was very impressed with one prospect. The

Chiefs quarterback sent his congratulations to Texas wide receiver Xavier Worthy, who broke the 40-yard-dash

record in 4.21 seconds.

Texas receiver Xavier Worthy impresses Patrick Mahomes with his speed.

“In a perfect world, I would definitely go to the Chiefs.” Just like Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs innovate and

utilize you. They had Tyreek Hill. The way they used him, I think that would be a great fit for me.”

This generated a lot of discussion about the potential Chiefs-Worthy partnership. Mel Kiper predicted the Chiefs

would select the playmaking wideout in his most recent mock draft.

Worthy concluded the 2023 season with 75 catches for 1,014 yards and five touchdowns. His 7.6 yards after catch per

reception demonstrates his playmaking abilities as a receiver.

Given the loss of Marquez Valdes-Scantling and possibly Kadarius Toney, the Chiefs need to add to their wide corps.

They might not be able to outperform the speedster from Texas.

Regardless matter who the Chiefs add this offseason, they will begin the season as one of the favorites to win it all.

On FanDuel Sportsbook, they have the second-best (+650) odds to win the Super Bowl.
